Avidity next generation sequencing using the AVITI benchtop sequencer

Short, long and spatial sequencing in a single instrument

The AVITI sequencer from Element Biosciences is a new benchtop sequencer that employs a new type of DNA sequencing chemistry called Avidity DNA sequencing. It currently supports both short and synthetic long-read sequencing applications and will shortly also support spatial biology applications. In this talk, we will dive into how Avidity DNA sequencing chemistry works and the interesting applications it enables.
 

Short Bio for speaker: Tuval Ben-Yehezkel, PhD
Dr. Tuval Ben Yehezkel is an Israeli scientist/entrepreneur He completed his PhD studies at the Weizmann Institute of Science in synthetic 
biology under the guidance of Prof. Ehud Shapiro. In 2014 He co-founded SynVaccine in Tel Aviv, a synthetic biology vaccine development 
company and in 2016 he founded Loop Genomics, a long-read sequencing company in the San Francisco Bay area. He was the CEO of Loop 
Genomics for six years until 2022 when Loop Genomics was acquired by Element Biosciences from San Diego. Tuval is currently Senior Director 
of Applications at Element Biosciences.
