החוג לחינוך רפואי מקדם מחקרים מתוך עולמות התוכן בהם אנחנו מלמדים. המחקר נועד לקדם את ההבנה בתכנים של:

פיתוח זהות מקצוענית כרופאים^1,2
פיתוח יכולת רפלקטיבית^3–5
הוראת מתן בשורה מרה^6–8
הצרכים של מטופלים, רופאים ובני משפחה^9–12
תקשורת עם מטופלים באופן כללי וקבלת החלטות משותפת^13,14 באופן ספציפי ועוד.
במסגרת החוג סטודנטים משתלבים בביצוע עבודות גמר ודוקטורט,^5,15,16 כמו כן מנחים מוזמנים להשתלב בהנחייה משותפת או כתיבה.
