Integrating machine learning and online studies to improve diagnosis and identify early markers of Ataxia

Our Center is developing the International Platform for Online Neuropsychological Testing (iPONT). We:

  • Specialize in remote testing of people with Parkinson’s Disease, Cerebellar Ataxia, and Developmental Dyslexia, and more populations.
  • Aim better to map the subtypes and progression of these diseases, leading to improved early detection, diagnosis, and treatment
  • Explore how subcortical brain structures support cognition

The Position

You may have the chance to:

  • Recruit and interact with patients with neurological conditions
  • Collect online patient data
  • Analyze multi-dimensional data using computational models 
  • Program (Python or R)
  • Engage in work culminating in a publishable paper

We’re looking for:

  1. Prospective Ph.D. and postdoc students
  2. Applicants who can devote a minimum of 30 hours per week to CAN
  3. Applicants with programming and previous research experience (preferred)
  4. Curiosity!
