פרופ' עופר אמיר הוא קלינאי תקשורת, חוקר ומרצה בחוג להפרעות בתקשורת. הוא כיהן כראש החוג להפרעות בתקשורת באוניברסיטת תל אביב, בין השנים 2014-2017, וכיום הוא איש סגל בכיר בחוג.

פרופ' אמיר עוסק במחקר, הוראה, הדרכה, יעוץ, אבחון וטיפול בשני תחומים עקריים:

  1. הפרעות שטף דיבור, כגון גמגום, דיבור חטוף, קצב דיבור וכד'.
  2. הפרעות קול, כגון: צרידות, אובדן קול, קשיים בהתחלפות הקול וכד'.

Biography

After completing his undergraduate (B.A.) and graduate (M.A.) studies in the Department of Communication Disorders, Tel-Aviv University, Prof. Ofer Amir has earned his doctoral degree (Ph.D.) in Speech and Hearing Science, from the University of Illinois (U.S.A.) in 1998. During the years of 2014-2017 he was the Head of the Department of Communication Disorders at Tel Aviv Universtiy, where he currently teaches, supervises and conducts research.

 

In addition to his academic activities, Prof. Ofer Amir runs a private practice, where he diagnoses and treats people-who-stutter and people with various voice disorders. Prof. Amir also performs volunteer work, as a senior speech-therapist, at the Speech and Hearing Center, and at the Voice Clinic, at the Sheba Medical Center (Tel-Hashomer).

פרופ' עופר אמיר מנהל מחקרים המתמקדים בשני תחומים עקריים: (א) הפרעות קול,   (ב) הפרעות שטף דיבור.

מחקרים אלה מתמקדים,  בין היתר, בתחומים הבאים: 

- זיהוי פתולוגיות על בסיס מאפיינים קוליים,

- שיפוט תפישתי-סובייקטיבי (ע"י מאזינים) של הפרעות קול, הפרעות שטף והפרעות דיבור

- מאפייני קצב הדיבור אצל ילדים, נוער ומבוגרים,

- מאפיינים רגשיים, חברתיים ותקשורתיים של ילדים ובוגרים מגמגמים,

- מאפייני מבנה ופעילות מוחית, ומאפיינים מוטוריים של אנשים מגמגמים בהשוואה לאנשים שוטפים
