Genetic implications for teriparatide use in osteoporosis therapy
Dr. Cheryl L Ackert-Bicknell, PhD, Associate Professor
Dr. Ackert-Bicknell, PhD is an Associate Professor in the Colorado Program for Musculoskeletal Research, in the Department of Orthopedics at the University of Colorado, Anschutz Medical Campus. She is a geneticist by training and her research focuses on understanding the interplay between the genetic regulation of bone mass and environmental factors. In her research, she uses both forward and reverse genetics studies to interrogate the genetic causes of phenotypes critical to understanding bone quality and to determine the biological function of genes found to be associated with musculoskeletal traits.
