תחומי המחקר שלי מגוונים.

אני עוסקת בתחום שונות בבריאות (health disparities), בריאות הציבור וקידום בריאות ובפרט כיצד ניתן להשפיע על בריאות הפרט והקהילה באמצעות חינוך וקידום בריאות. בשנים האחרונות, הקמתי עם חוקרות נוספות מהחוג לסיעוד מעבדת מחקר תיאורטית לחקר תופעת האלימות נגד עובדי הבריאות. המעבדה חוקרת תופעה שלילית זו מנקודת המבט של הציבור הרחב ובהיבטים שונים.

התיאוריה הסינדמית (Syndemics Theory) ככלי להבנת פערים בבריאות התלויים בהיבטים חברתיים-כלכליים-פוליטיים מורכבים, מרתקת אותי במיוחד. לאחרונה, מערכי המחקר שלי מבוססי התיאוריה ועוסקים המגוון היבטים המשלבים היבטים בריאותיים - פיזיולוגיים והיבטים חברתיים- תרבותיים כמסברי התנהגות בריאותית. התיאוריה טוענת כי טיפול במחלות של אנישם/קהילות צריכה להתבסס על התערבויות מערכתיות ברמת המקרו ולא רק טיפול במחלה עימה מתמודד האדם.

בתחום הקליני אני משתפת פעולה עם מספר בתי חולים בהם אנו חוקרים היבטים שונים מעבודת האחות  לדוגמא: התמודדות אחיות עם התאבדות מטופלים, עמדות אחיות לגבי שיתוף משפחות בטיפול בחולים המאושפזים, השפעת מדדי איכות ברפואה על עבודת הצוות ועוד..
