Biography

Prof. Gabriel Chodick, PhD, MHA, is the Head of the Epidemiology and Database Research department, in MaccabiTech. Prof. Chodick is an Associate Professor at the School of Public Health in Tel Aviv University and an adjunct researcher at the Division of Cancer Epidemiology & Genetics at the NIH. He earned an MSc and PhD degrees in Epidemiology from Tel Aviv University, where he also completed his Master's degree in Health Administration from the Recanati School of Management. He was a Fulbright Visiting Scholar at the School of Public Health, UNC at Chapel Hill and completed a two-year post-doctoral fellowship at the National Cancer Institute in Bethesda, MD. Prof. Chodick is the co-director of the Israel International Program Development at Northwestern University at TAU. He is a board member of the Healthcare Systems research Network in the US, and other international research projects.

 

As an embedded researcher in a large healthcare provider in Israel, Prof. Chodick is responsible both externally funded and operationally focused observational database research in various areas including epidemiology of chronic diseases, pharmacoepidemiology, dissemination research, delivery care studies, safety issues, as well as comparative effectiveness analyses.
